My name is Todd, and before coming to Adult & Teen Challenge I would lie, cheat, and steal to get what I wanted. I had no desire to live anymore. I was at the point where I was going to take my own life. I found myself wondering who I was. I had voids inside that I was trying to fill with drugs. I was living on the streets with only a backpack, trying to find a place to stay every night. I had burned every bridge so I cried out for help. I had tried several secular rehabs which didn't have what I needed.
There was always something missing from my life. That’s what I found here at Teen Challenge. I found Jesus Christ who saved my soul from total darkness and death. He showed me a new way to live and that He is way more satisfying than any other thing on this earth. Jesus gave me hope when I was hopeless. That’s why I decided to stay another year as an Intern, to show the other students that Jesus Christ is the truth, the way, and the life.
