”There have been a couple of moments since I graduated that I have longed to come back to Teen Challenge. I cherished my time there; it was a sanctuary for me.”
Jody entered Teen Challenge Montana Women’s Outreach in January of 2010 and successfully completed the program in January of 2011. After completion Jody returned to her home state of South Dakota.
Jody was able to return to her previous place of employment at the Quality Inn located in Hill City SD. She later transitioned to her current job as the Guest Service Agent for the Sleep Inn and Suites in Rapid City SD.
One day while shopping for a gift for her mom her eyes caught sight of a ring in a jewelry window that spoke to her heart. She spoke these words out loud in the presence of others, “Lord this is the ring that I want, now I just need a husband! “
As God would have it, God did bring Jody a husband….Jason Glayzer. They were married in June of 2012 and she wears the ring that she saw that day in the jeweler’s case. Jody is so thankful to Jesus for all that He has done for her. The moment above reminds her of the verse found in Numbers 14:28 that says:
So tell them, “As surely as I live, declares the Lord, I will do to you the very things I heard you say.”
Jody realizes what power our words have and how we speak our lives into motion. She has learned to take all her cares and concerns to Him rather than to ‘other’ things.
Jody cherishes her marriage to Jay and together they attend Open Bible Church in Rapid City. She will be the first to admit that God is using this new marriage in her life to continue to challenge her in the area of becoming mature in Christ. She continues to trust in her Savior and Lord not only for her life but for their marriage.
Besides growing in her marriage Jody longs to be able to minister into the lives of women. She is looking into what the Lord may have for her and is open to the direction that He takes her.
