“Teen Challenge introduced me into a life with my Father. A life not lived perfectly but a life that continues to call upon Him, and when I have failed 1000 times He carries me through the pain and helps me move forward.”
Brooke came to the Montana Women's Outreach in the summer of 2004. She wasn’t looking for a Savior but she was looking for hope. “Basically, I was so broken spirited from years of abuse ... that I didn't even use drugs to cope with some of the harshest realities that I was living. I was completely numb and had no hope and fight to get out of it. It became my identity. UNTIL I MET JESUS! Then I realized my worth and identity were so much more!”
Brooke successfully completed the program in the summer of 2005 and graduated in the winter of 2005. Brooke continued on with Teen Challenge as an intern for a short time and then attended the Teen Challenge Ministry Institute for a year. After completion of TCMI, Brooke was hired by a Teen Challenge program in California.
God drew Brooke during her year at the Montana Women's Outreach and laid a sure foundation in her life. She was growing in Him and experienced much freedom. Her Savior was still hard at work maturing her and mending the brokenness in her heart.
This season in Brooke’s life speaks of the truth found in Isaiah 43:19 which says,
"Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.
As Brooke walked in this new season, she allowed God to refocus her daily life and applied to Nursing school. It was a struggle and a trial to keep up with all the demands placed on her time as a single mom and a full-time student, but Brooke was trusting God with each day. Against all odds she graduated from nursing school in 2013 as a Registered Nurse and works at a hospital in Wyoming.
Brooke will be the first to admit that she is far from perfect. She rests in the reality that Jesus has made a profound change in her. She trusts Him and believes that He is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that she ask or think, according to the power that works within her, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.
